Disclosure: I was provided with yogurt and kale coupons from Stonyfield and Earthbound Farms in order to facilitate this recipe. All opinions , desire to create kale recipes and ability to operate a blender are my own.
Kale recipes are always something that I am searching for to help us get more leafy greens in our diet.
So, when the Stonyfield Yo-Getters were issued a challenge to use Stonyfield’s Greek Yogurt and an item from Earthbound Farms, I jumped at it. We are big fans of yogurt chips as an easy snack to grab and go and the thought of cool, frozen ones to cool off with outside or at the pool was an ideal recipe in the making. I am happy to add this to my list of kale recipes and I hope you are too!
Super Green & Greek Yogurt Chips
Makes 3 cookie sheets worth of chips
1 Stonyfield Greek Yogurt (32 oz)
1/2 package Earthbound Farms Mixed Baby Kales
3-4 Tablespoons Organic Honey – (since they include honey, do not offer these snacks to children under the age of 1)
1. I just have a regular old blender, so I combined half of the quart of Greek yogurt and 1/4 of the package of baby kales so that blending them on the Puree setting would help things blend well.
2. Combine the remaining yogurt and kale until all is evenly blended.
3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of honey to have the chips taste to your liking.
4. Put the pureed ingredients into a gallon size bag, snip a small corner off of the bag and operate the bag liking a piping bag to make small droplets of the yogurt mixture onto a wax paper lined cookie sheets.
5. Place in freezer for about an hour.
6. Take out and enjoy!
I am always looking for more kale recipes, so if you have a good one, leave the link in the comments below. Enjoy your 4th of July week if you are in the States!

They were a cinch to make too!
Those look yummy! Never thought about putting kale in something sweet!
Balancing it with the honey was a great way to put it together.
These look fantastic. I can’t wait to give these a try.
They are a good way to use up those CSA greens!
ONE of these days I am actually going to make kale chips – and this recipe somehow seems approachable! (and yummy!)
It’s a good way to get those greens in.
Love this yogurt chip idea!! What a great snack for my son.
Perfect for hot summer weather!
My kids might actually eat these. 🙂
They were great to grab and eat on a hot day the other day.
This is the most innovative kale recipes I have come across, I love kale it is one of the healthiest greens available, I must try this.
Thanks, Roechelle!
Do they melt or stay reasonably firm at room temperatures? I’m wondering if I could work out a similar approach to make cinnamon chips for my son so we don’t have to by Nestle ones anymore.
The first batch that I froze for 30 minutes started to melt a bit. But the next batch held a little longer.
I never thought I’d do this, but I just pinned your kale recipe. My friend makes kale chips and they were ICK, but this looks like something I might actually like!! Thanks for the recipe.
Hope they turn out well, Dede!
Could that be easier?!?!? Love the idea!
I know, the ideas keep on coming for different combos!
These look AWESOME! Nice work there Becky!
I’ll post it over on the Locavore Love Linky this week, Lauryn! Perfect for the end greens season.
These look delicious! I love kale but react to the nickel content in it when I eat as much as I’d like 🙁
Could you sub in spinach, Gina? Or does that have the same reaction?
Oh, we need to try these.
I think they are right up your alley, Heather!
Love this idea! Thanks so for sharing.
Thanks, Trina!
I would *never* have thought of using kale this way! This is so great!
Thanks, Jaime! They are a great and quick snack to make.
This is so timely. I kept eyeing the kale at the Farmer’s Market last weekend but wasn’t sure what I could do with kale beyond making it sauteed. Thanks!
Thanks, Jessica! Hope you get to give them a try!
They look delicious! Very clever. 🙂
Thanks, Tiffany!
Oh for YUM!!! I’m always looking for new things to do with Kale!! Making these tomorrow!
