Welcome to to everyone who is swinging by from the Ultimate Blog Party! This is my first year participating and I am excited to visit other blogs and make new friends. I have been writing Crafty Garden Mama for a little over two years. I am a former elementary school teacher, but chose to stay home after having my daughter in 2010. Crafty Garden Mama started as a way to have a creative outlet while being a SAHM and has developed into a great endeavor and new business for me.
Crafty Garden Mama is where I write about organic gardening and feature the backyard kitchen garden that we grow each year. I have been passionate about local and organic foods for over a decade and being able to grow our own food has been a pleasure and a learning experience. My daughter, Tomato, is a great helper in the garden and it’s fun for her to watch asparagus come back each year and pick her own cherry tomatoes right off of the plant. You can check out Tuesday Greens each week in order to find my gardening tales and those of other bloggers.
In addition to gardening tales, I do eco-friendly product reviews and offer green cleaning tips. There are so many more green friendly products on the market than there used to be. I am happy to check them out and let you know how they measure up.
Finally, my knitting and sewing projects make some appearances and I write TV Free Friday features to show folks what we do in lieu of watching television. I hope you find something that you enjoy and stop back to learn more about gardening and how to live greener. You can also catch me over on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Instagram. Have a great time at the party!

I’m so excited to find another blogger who gardens! I know there are a lot out there, but just fun to find one. We have several gardening posts on our blog – although we don’t focus just on that. My husband tilled our garden this weekend, so I’m anxious to get my hands dirty!

I need your gardening skills! I hope to be able to grow my own organic food, but lack a green thumb. I’ve killed many an innocent plant in my day and fear the worst for the next plant that enters our house. Visiting you from the UBP.

Ah! I have been hopping back around through the UBP13 to find people to connect with that I missed before, I am so excited that I found you. This is my second year growing a garden, last year was a horrible failure, I am really hoping that at least two things other than carrots grow š Also I absolutely love the idea of TV Free Friday, watching tv every evening gets old FAST, and your ideas for alternatives are much appreciated.
Nice meeting you, I will be back soon š
