It’s hard to believe that it is the second to last Sunday in January. I feel like 2013 is flying along. If you have been reading along this month, you will know that I have been setting some green goals for my home on Sundays. Cleaning green has been a big part of what we do here at our house and I am making a goal to explore new eco-friendly companies and products in 2013.
Today, I have the pleasure of discussing some cleaning products from H2O at Home. H2O at Home was kind enough to send me an array of products for laundry, general cleaning and personal care. I’ll be splitting my reviews into those categories and am sharing my feedback on the general cleaning products today.
H2O at Home is a direct sales, natural products company that seeks to simplify and green your cleaning practices. Originally from France, they now have sales advisors throughout the US. They utilize essential oils in many of their products and their chiffonnettes are reusable and very sturdy.
I was able to use the Essential Multi-Surface Chiffonnette along with the new Ology Glass Cleaner in order to clean my front back doors and the kitchen window that resides behind our sink and is frequently splattered after we wash the dishes. You can see some of the streaking and toddler fingerprints prior to cleaning. While they do have a glass cleaner chiffonnette, I found the essentail multi-surface one to be great for glass surfaces and it was barely even damp by the time that I finished all of the surfaces. This variety of chiffonnettee can be used by just dampening it to work on baseboards or just leave it dry for dusting purposes. The chiffonnette can be cleaned by hand with their Netepur soap or it can be machine washed. After using it, the surfaces were streak free and I loved the high quality of the fabric.
I also tackled some stains on our kitchen tile with the All-in-One Kit that includes the Natural Clay Powder with a sponge and a Heavy Duty Chiffonnette.
With ease, you wet the sponge, wipe it on the natural clay powder (biodegradable, non-toxic and food-safe) and scrub the surface. Then, you wipe it down with a damp Heavy Duty Chiffonnette and you are all set. It easily cleaned up food stains from our kitchen floor and removed some of the lighter scuffs on our entryway wall.
Overall, I was happy with the quality of the chiffonnettes and feel like they would make a good investment. Having quality products that last is a good, green feature and I appreciate that we have another natural products company from which to purchase green cleaning products. If you are interested in buying your own products, they are for sale in their online shop, and be sure to check out the free gift promotion that is going on this January! Stay tuned for reviews on their personal care and laundry products!

The natural clay powder sounds great!
I was happy with it. I will be curious to see how well it does up in our bathroom in our tile grout.
Never heard of that company before. Perhaps I will look into it. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic selection of products, Stephanie. Definitely see if they will be in Canada soon.
Thanks for sharing! I’ve been wondering what to try on our scuff marks (we seem to have an abundance of them now that we have a wild toddler on the loose!)
It’s good on the light scuffs! I’m definitely happy with that with my toddler in the house too.
I am investing in the home cleaning products, the mop/duster, window cleaning kit, clay for sinks, tubs and showers is excellent, the 3 different chiffonnettes. Also the laundry ball, lavender laundry soap and the floor cleaner. They all work excellent. Try the healing stick, a mixture of essential oils to use on blemishes, bruises, cuts, scrapes, cold sores, etc….
