H2O at Home Personal Care Review

by Becky Elmuccio on January 24, 2013

Earlier this week, I spoke about H2O at Home‘s Household Cleaning Chiffonnettes and Natural Clay Powder Scrub. The reusable chiffonnettes are not on eco-friendly, but they are also economical. Not having to buy paper towels to help with cleaning around the house can help to save a lot of money.

One area in which I have been trying to find more reusable options has been in my makeup routine. I have high quality brushes for applying the makeup, and their long lifetime certainly helps me be more green. But, tossing out cotton balls left and right to help take makeup off has not been my best eco-friendly move. So, I was pleased to have the opportunity to test out and review H2O at Home’s Cleansing Exfoliating Cloth. I soaked the cloth with water and was pleased with how much makeup came off. I always take off my makeup with a two cotton balls and makeup remover. So, this will certainly help me reduce our trash.

Cleansing Cloth post Netepur cleaning

It also easily cleans up with a touch of the Netepur soap and dries nicely overnight. I  can definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a sturdy, eco-friendly alternative to add to your make up routine.

The Marseille Soap was also sent my way to try out. The lavender scent is lovely and if you are having one of those crazy mom days, it is a fantastic retreat from the world for your shower. It instantly upgrades your day and you smell wonderful all day.

I’ll be covering the H2O at Home Laundry products that I received in one more post next week. So, stay tuned to see how they worked out for us.

What ways are you trying to make your personal car routines greener or more economical this year?

Disclosure: I received these products for review, but my opinions are my own.

It’s so soft, Noelle! I am thinking of getting another to keep in my travel case.

my daughter has such a hard time removing mascara, this would probably work so well for her.

If I could find enough time to actually put on makeup, this looks like it would be a great solution for taking it off!

That’s so true on some days. But, I am thrilled to have a greener option now.

Definitely something I need to try – frugal, green, AND it would take up less space in my bathroom.

I was all set to crochet some cotton wipes, but this is so much better!

Ooo that sounds great! Cotton balls for removing make up are one of the few disposable items I have left.

This would be a great substitute. They had a nice makeup remover to use with it too. It’s definitely worth checking out their whole catalog.
