Indoor Winter Gardening

by Becky Elmuccio on November 27, 2012

We moved our orange tree inside a while back, but we have some new items to be growing indoors this winter.

First up are some oyster mushrooms from Back to the Roots. I will be doing a full review on these after they come in a we give them a taste. So, stay tuned in the next two weeks to see how it all goes. It’s a great product for keeping kids involved in the growing in the winter.

We’re also getting into a period where we are setting the garden up for birding opportunities. I’ll be showing you more of what we do in the weeks to come. But, in the meantime, take a moment to vote for my idea at GOODMaker where we could win $1000 for our MOMs club to purchase binoculars and birding guides for the next generation of birders.

So, what have you been up to that is green this week? What have you decided to grow indoors this winter?

Thanks for hosting, Becky! I’ve linked up 2 posts for this winter season – a homemade cough syrup, and some anti-itch remedies to keep skin hydrated and itch-free during the cold, dry winter months.

Looking forward to seeing your mushrooms!

Thanks for the linky! I am excited to see how your mushroom growing goes. I am trying to convince my husband I need a rotting log in the garage… for some reason its a no go 😉

I linked up my herbal bathsalts recipes. There are 3 and they are divine. Have a great week!

So glad I found this link-up. I did NOT bring in my plants the other day and now it has frosted! I really need to keep track of what I can/should bring in and not. We do not have much room but I could have brought in something. Cannot wait to learn more:)
