One of the things that I seek to make green in my life is my skincare regimen. It can sometimes be daunting with the increasing list of ingredients to avoid like parabens.
One green option that is available is Kimberly Sayer of London. I spoke with Kimberly Sayer earlier this fall and I valued her story of how she came to develop her organic skincare line. She is from a family of organic farmers and genuinely wants to offer products that are good for you and good for the earth. She feels that true farmers are true to the earth and this organic gardener and consumer couldn’t agree more. Most of her ingredients are sourced in the US and her manufacturing is USA based. The shea butter that she sources from Uganda and Madagascar is done so in conjunction with community support programs. As an experienced aesthetician who has worked both in the UK and US at high end salons, she has spent time honing her instinct for what works and what is eco-friendly.
I had the opportunity to try out three different products from the Kimberly Sayer London. The above Firming Botanical Face Serum offers a light moisturizer that plumps the skin and is very light on the skin. It works very nicely under makeup and you don’t feel like you have anything extra against your skin.
The Cellular Extract Eye Lift Gel goes on very smoothly and acts to lift the skin around the eyes. It too is very light. It takes a little while to get used to how much can come out of the pump, so press lightly in order to conserve what you are using.
My favorite product to test out was the Gentle Almond & Lavender Face Scrub. A little goes a long way and the scrub is very gentle, as per its name. The scents are not overwhelming and my skin did feel clean and soft after each application. It’s size is perfect to tuck onto a shower shelf and is great for travel at 2 ounces.
Overall, I think Ms. Sayer’s line has a variety of options for different skin types, offers ingredients that are natural and organic and has a good purpose and philosophy. Since she uses natural preservatives, like japanese honeysuckle, the shelf life of the item is one year from opening. This may be shorter than conventional beauty products, but with these, you know you are using safe ingredients. So, if you are looking for some beauty stocking stuffers for the holiday season, check out which stores or salons in your area or websites carry this line. In addition to single sale products, gift baskets and travel packs are available.
Disclosure: I was provided with the above items in order to review them. All opinions are my own.

These sounds great! I love it when companies commit to non toxic Ingredients! And a one year shelf life isn’t bad at all!
