Holiday House Tour Tradition

Holiday House Tours Make Me Happy

Homes decorated for the holidays? Yes, please!! My mom and I have a tradition of visiting holiday house tours as the winter holidays approach. I love seeing how folks deck their halls, arrange their trees and I love speaking with them about where they found little decorative gems. I also fully admit to the excitement of looking at state of the art kitchens and bathrooms and trying to figure out if they are using green materials and building methods. I try to note ideas that could work in our house too and replicate them the next year. Plus, with the added bonus of a camera phone being allowed in most places, I’ll be all over the Instagram feed this winter. We took Tomato last year and she had a blast and if a house had a train set, it was even better. I highly encourage folks to find a tour near you or take a little road trip to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holidays. It makes for a great tradition.
