How did we celebrate Independence Day?

With a toddler, fireworks are held way past bedtime. So, our best way to celebrate was to attend a local parade. It was the Tomato’s first ever parade and she weathered the heat like a champ. Vintage cars, multiple marching bands (including two sets of Mummers), and neighborhood floats were great to watch through her eyes. She loved waving a little American flag and still asks for the Mummers on a daily basis. I think we made a good decision on how to celebrate that day.
