Growing Heirloom Tomatoes
Just a quick pop in this morning to show off these beauties. We are starting to see a lot of these Matt’s Cherry Tomatoes, an heirloom variety, come in. The plant itself has been a very wide tomato plant as opposed to a very tall one. So, the branches are everywhere and each has a big bundle of tomatoes on it. Unfortunately, the heat and lack of rain has been rough on the other varieties, but these buggers are coming in fast and furious. I’ve also started gifting cucumbers and I think our onions are prime for picking. I’ll post some more pics this weekend of everything that is coming in and ready for the harvest.
What ready for picking in your garden?

Aren’t those so sweet looking? Enjoy your harvest!
Oh yum! these are like popcorn to me. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Lovely! My jalopenos have been loving this hot dry weather.
They look WONDERFUL! : ) This brought back memories of when I was younger and had a fairly large garden. There was a drought one summer and basically the case was like yours….the cherry tomatoes did well. As to the others…well some were so small they might as well have been cherry tomatoes too! 🙂
When the cherry tomatoes are really abundant, most of them don’t even make it into the kitchen since we all love snacking on them with a clear conscience 🙂
love cherry tomatoes but love watching my children pick them and eat them more!!
