15 Interesting Things About You

What are 15 interesting things about me?
- My favorite vacation was when we went to Italy in 2008. We debated whether we really wanted to come home or start fresh over there.
- I was on the swim team at Princeton for two years. I am anxious to get back into the water in the next two weeks when our summer club opens up.
- My passion for the environment was sparked by a 7th grade writing project. My paper was about how trashed the NJ beaches were in the early 1990s.
- I would love to become a lactation consultant. Nursing the Tomato was really important to me and I like helping my friends and sister feel confident in their own journeys as nursing moms.
- I get giddy every time that I see a Smart Car on the road. I totally want a yellow and black one.
- My senior thesis was entitled The Dynamic of Male Friendship from 1945-1960: A Study in Text and Film.
- I was able to do research at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ library and read through the original scripts for The Men, From Here to Eternity, and The Wild One. It was an amazing experience and Montgomery Clift’s and Marlon Brando’s phone numbers were written on the inside cover sheets. So cool!
- I worked at Disney World in their College Intern Program. Three of my best friends were my roommates down there.
- When folks in the service industry slouch against counters or complain about their jobs in front of the customers, I cringe. These “never-dos” were drilled into our heads when we worked at Disney. Apparently, it’s stuck with me after all of these years.
- Even though I had a rough bout of morning sickness, I LOVED being pregnant. It was the most comfortable and natural that I ever felt in my body.
- I taught third grade and elementary school math for 9 years before staying home to be a mom.
- I can knit, but haven’t really figured out how to crochet. It’s on my to do list.
- My favorite television show of all time is a tie between Lost and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- I am anxiously awaiting the return of Rick and the gang for a third season of The Walking Dead.
- I miss living near NYC, but am happy to be getting to know Philly again.
