Cost Aside, What Famous Art Piece Would I Like to Have

I was mulling this over last night before bed and wondering if I wanted to have something to hang in the house or display outside so that all could appreciate it. I did a big paper on Claes Oldenburg when I was an undergrad, so I have always been drawn to his oversized sculptures. I dreamt last night about the Spoonbridge and Cherry that is installed at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. So, I’m taking that as a sign that it is the piece I would like to have. I would love to walk over the spoon and curl up in the base of it to read a book in the sunshine or enjoy a glass of lemonade as I watch the clouds roll by. Of course, having this would require us to have a little more space, but if money were no object maybe we would have acres upon acres in the Catskills while we run a bed and breakfast. A girl can dream!
